Christer Wallmansson

Christer Wallmansson weaves a narrative of textiles and tunes, shaping a vibrant legacy of innovation and entertainment.

Born as the youngest of five brothers, Christer ventured early from traditional education to life at sea, shaping his independent and explorative spirit.

Returning to Borås, Christer leveraged the city’s rich textile heritage to establish himself in the textile industry. He began by orchestrating production with local seamstresses and soon expanded operations internationally to Portugal and later the Baltics, demonstrating his ability to navigate complex markets while ensuring quality and efficiency. During this period, Christer launched several of his own brands, such as Piaf’s elegant women’s blouses and rugged Double W workwear, each reflecting his versatile creative vision.

Christer’s entrepreneurial spirit also sparked within the nightlife of Borås. He was pivotal in running Atlantic, a nightclub that not only hosted celebrity DJs like Frank Andersson and Claes af Geijerstam but also attracted famous guests such as Magnus Uggla and Björn Borg, becoming a vibrant hub of the city’s social scene.

His success in textiles was complemented by shrewd investments in real estate, where he applied his profits from the textile business to acquire and develop properties, further diversifying his business interests.
